Marina Multi Tool Large

To begin with, This is a great product for people who have a fairly deep aquarium..if u have a standard size tank of about 2-2.5ft depth..I'd rather advise u to used ur hands n a pir of aqua designed scissors n get started.I have a low tech planted discus tank which is about 3.5 ft in height = 42 inches. Plus it's placed about 2.5 feet above the ground..this makes it extremely hard to reach even to about 1/3 inside the tank with bare hands that too thru a tight squeeze.. I had initially managed to plant a few amazon and crypts but I still remember the horror as I cud not get the roots to settle deep in the gravel/ substrate..plus shortly evry now n then a few leaves needed trimming n the rotten ones needed to be picked out as they wud settle on the gravel bed.The marina too comes as a three part product :1) the main foldable body..which is fairly easy to extend and fix in the extended position using the instruction given.its a piece of cake. The best n surprising part is the total length it's got once extended.. Almost over 34 inchs( approx) . This is fairly about 3 ft.2) a tong head or call it a clasp or tweezer head ..what evr suits u..the grip teeth and size and shape is really good.. Y I speak of this is because once u have them clasped..they make a pointed head that's extremely easy to dig in to gravel and place ur plants or root tabs deep into the gravel bed or substrate..This doesn't disturb the surround bed at all. Another advantage is that the tong head is angled..3) a scissors head..another great attachment.. Has two razor sharp blades ..apparently didn't come with any blade cover or protection case. So adult supervision is recomended If kids r working on their aquarium.. The scissor head is also angled which makes it highly easy to reach a particular stem or leaf and snip it right off.. Earlier I had imagined it to be like a large pair of scissors attached on the head..which could chop evrything in the tank..but these r fairly compact set of blades with the low range of movement ..it's more of a "Snip Snip" than a "Chop Chop". ;)But does its part well..one snip is all it needs to do a clean slice.End of it it's easy to again detach and fold back..my advice would be to wipe it dry after use as a lotta water sweeps thru in it...also the blades need to be dried..I highly doubt if they wud rust ..n if they do so ..will there be a replacement head available..Hope the review was helpful.Thanx ..snip snip ;)
