Good Build Quality
Prior to ordering the Leitz 5180 2-Hole Punch, I was using another branded puncher, that had been held together by packing tape and a paper clip, having previously undergone various niggly repairs. The build quality was awful, and it only lasted one month of use before it's first snap.I've now had the Lietz 5180 2-Hole Punch for a few months, and it's still as smooth as the day I received it, slicing through wads of paper with apparent ease. The lever action is smooth, as is the release, and the handle/grip is superior to other punchers, meaning my hand doesn't slip off with a particularly tough punch, not that the Lietz 5180 seems to find any quality of paper/light card particularly tough to punch. The guide slights easily, but stays still when in a notch and I am impressed with the overall build quality; it doesn't feel cheap, and seems built to last.Basically, the Lietz 5180 is everything you expect in a 2-hole punch.

This product is bullet proof, confirming trust and respect in solid German design and engineering.
A few months ago I bought a Leitz heavy duty stapler and was most impressed with its heavy duty performance. It sunk staples through a 70-page play I had printed off with ease without a single mis-fire. It also felt reassuringly solid in construction. So I thought it would be a pretty safe bet to order the Leitz heavy duty hole punch, right? Right indeed! This is a two-hole punch, and its build quality is very impressive - actually better than their HD stapler as the punch is manufactured from solid metal (aluminium the web states) and not a metal chassi covered in ABS. I have not tried to punch 65 sheets as it claims to be its maximum capacity so far but have tried a few wadges of 40 pages which it cut holes through without any hint of shirking or baulking. Its construction feels bullet proof. So, I am happy to give this a solid five stars. I also like Leitz because it is a German company, and I trust and respect solid German design and engineering. Excellent product.

Amazing
If you have to punch holes in lots of sheets of paper, this is the one. It’s stunning how easy this thing goes through paper, like a hot knife through butter. And the built quality is great too.

Big, heavy duty hole punch
The hole punch arrived within a few days of ordering. It is larger and heavier than anticipated, but does the job well and the handle can be locked in the horizontal position so it will easily fit in a draw. This product chosen mainly because the size slider looked more durable than the flat plastic I have seen on other hole punches and while it appears to be plastic as opposed to the metal claimed in the advert it does look as if it will not break easily.

They are perfect for heavy duty and light weight work
I have one for my home office, one for my london office and one for my client office. They are perfect for heavy duty and light weight work. Very easy on the wrist for heavy duty work as there is some kind of spring mechanism that takes the pressure off the wrist. It is worth it to spend the money on this brand.

Heavyweight piece of kit
I opted to spend the money (£37.60 all up) because I was fed up with my Niceday-branded heavy duty punch: even on a heavyweight metal machine, the paper guide was flimsy plastic and regularly slipped off its A4 setting.I've had the Leitz for three weeks now (bought Aug 2013). It is a sizeable and heavy piece of kit, built to go easily through wads of paper using the leverage from the handle. I can't fault it on that, but it feels 'wrong' when punching holes in a single sheet of paper when there's no resistance. The paper guide is plastic, but is a rigid triangular section, and it stays firmly clicked into its A4 notch.Overall it's well-made but probably has more grunt than most users will need!

Excellet
Very well made and with no fiddly bits (unlike my old Rapesco one). The paper guide works, and works well and the lock switch for space saving also works far batter and is less fiddly than other makes.Ok so hole punches aren't the most exciting things in the world but this one looks nice and is really good...

At last a working hole punch
Finally, a hole punch that will put holes in a chunk of paper. Fed up with punches that struggle to chew through two sheets of paper? Then this tough boy is for you. A joy to use. Solid and kerchunk, puts holes where it should.
