Yummy!
Good stuff. Just plain unflavoured Soya Protein powder with no nasty sugar or cloying sweeteners in it. I don't like sickly sweet things, so I actually prefer the unadulterated taste of this. I mix it with water and find it eminently quaffable. It's almost like a soft ice cream or [for fans of the 1970s] Angel Delight type pudding, when mixed quite thick.BTW—the reason I picked this product in the first place was because Bulk label it SOYA. I'm so sick of even British companies adopting annoying American spellings and terms—like SOY—that I actively avoid buying those products. So thumbs up to Bulk for providing a product with an unashamedly "proper English" spelled label. As to whether this stuff is helping me achieve the Adonis-like figure I've always dreamed of; well, the jury's still out on that one. But, at least people have stopped pointing at me in the street and laughing now. So I like to think it's doing some good.

Cheap protein, good for lactose intolerant people
As someone who is lactose intolerant, I usually opt for whey isolate, but due to its high price, I decided to try unflavoured soy protein. While whey isolate tastes better, the soy protein isn't as "disgusting" as some claim—it's palatable, and I’ve had worse. The texture takes some getting used to, as it makes a thicker shake, but it's manageable. On the plus side, it's very easy on the stomach—possibly even better than whey isolate. Given the price difference, I’m happy with it, but if cost weren’t a factor, I’d stick with whey for the taste.

Danger, tastes like Satan's butt crack
I've never left a review so soon after trying something before. But this, this unflavoured soy protein is so bad, so disgusting, it needed an immediate review. Others have to be warned! This protient powder will make you retch, you might actually throw up. It could be used for torture or acts or war.I tried mixing it with my favourite strawberry yogurt it still tasted like Satan's butt crack. I tried it with milk and chocolate sauce and still it made me gag like I had breathed in a demonic fart.I'm so sorry to Bulk for leaving a bad review because ordinarily they are my go to brand for protien shakes. But this is the first soy one I've bought and it was a total waste of money. It mixes terribly as well. Practically made a dough when I added in to yogurt and the other bulk protein powders have never done that. This soy protein powder is a weapon, a weapon to destroy your enemies with. It could bring any unsuspecting victim to their knees with just a sip. Use your new found power wisely. I'm going to offer the rest of my bag to someone I don't like.

Positively flavourless
I've used (unflavoured) vegan protein isolates for many years. I'm used to the natural flavour of these things but this is the first product with the faintest flavour of the typical soy protein isolate, and I have very sensitive taste buds. I'm pretty shocked by just how good it is. The powder is also extra fine which makes really lovely, creamy smoothies. I'm going to stick to this brand for the time being.

It's the texture that's more of a problem for me than the taste.
I bought this so that I can have a dairy-free way of adding more protein to my diet. I am yet to mix this soy protein powder with water, but it doesn't blend smoothly in apple juice (a natural way of sweetening my porridges and smoothies). I use an electric, hand-held blender to mix my protein powder with my liquid of choice.PORRIDGEIf you're using this protein powder in porridge, I'd advise you to blend the powder and your liquid of choice (mine is apple juice) first before pouring it in with your oats. If you try mixing this soy protein powder last thing, then the texture will be ghastly and it completely ruins the porridge's flavour. When done right, porridge with soya protein powder is fine. However, I do find that this soya protein powder weakens the apple juice's flavour. Nonetheless, I have found that adding a squeeze of lemon gives a bowl of soya protein porridge a nice zing.BAKINGYou can't really taste the soy protein powder once your batter/dough is baked off. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to affect the texture, either. Thus, this is a good protein powder to use in pancakes, brownies, doughnuts etc.SMOOTHIESI don't know how well this soy protein powder mixes with water yet, but, the only way for its grainy texture to be almost unnoticeable is if I blend my smoothie with two cups of frozen fruit straight out of the bag without defrosting it. That's one cup more than my usual. I'd rather have to use one cup, but the soy protein powder's grainy texture is disgusting.I don't know how much testing the company did before launching this product, but I think they ought to review how well this one mixes with a variety of different liquids (including juices) and ensure that it's smooth and not grainy. I can try blending with my electric blender for more than five minutes and it will still be grainy. Ugh!I have to say that I am a little disappointed in this powder because Bulk Powder's whey protein mixes fine with apple juice, but this one doesn't so much. However, on a more positive note, I like that I can overpower this soy protein powder's flavour with my usual fruits. Nonetheless, I will not be buying this again. I will finish this packet and then try out some high protein, dairy-free protein powders and see which ones mix well with apple juice and have very little impact on the overall taste.

Good for baking, bad for drinking.
Bought on deal, cheapest unflavoured protein I could find, vegan or not. Would not recommend if you're planning on drinking it, it mixes in water terribly, and is horribly chalky. I bake with it, and it does not effect the flavor or texture of anything I've baked.
