I'm an Asian with oily and acne prone skin. I've been using Holika Holika Pore Clearing Petit BB Cream for the past few years and was looking for something better. As much as I like how Holika Holika has a pretty high SPF and tea tree oil which is beneficial for my skin, it does have a grey undertone that makes me look sickly and also makes my face look like a greasy mess after a few hours.I figured that BB cream that contains any SPF will be too greasy for me no matter if it's marketed towards mattifying or for oily skin. In my search to find a BB cream without SPF, I found Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream for Oily Skin purely by accident. I figured that if this doesn't work then oh well, I'll go back to my normal BB cream and let the search continues. Turns out that Covergirl shades match my skin tone perfectly (similar to Holika Holika without the grey undertone) and it's cheap.My routine: Trader Joe's Rose Water Toner, Secret Key Aloe Soothing Toner mix with TO Squalene, Benton Snail Bee Essence mix with Vit C, TO Salicylic Acid, Mizon Snail Ampoule mix with TO Niacinamide, Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+/PA++++, Covergirl BB Cream, and a light dust of translucent powder.This cream is very buildable and has medium coverage. It does dry fairly quickly and that's when a damp beauty blender comes in handy. I found that it's mattifying but not drying, and most importantly I only need to blot my face maybe once or twice a day now. I think the key is to use a separate SPF.I'm very happy with this product so far and will definitely repurchase again.

As per usual Covergirl puller through. This bb cream goes on like a dream and it virtually smoothes your skin within minutes. It looks like you have a naturally great glow and is not greasy or heavy. The only drawback is the lack spf and what I've found is it tends to shift a bit later on in the day so your skin appears a tiny bit less perfect. It also dries out your skin a bit, but overall it's a great product.

I finally found my favorite fountain for my mature skin. Cover Girl has always (I've thought) been good quality/value makeup, I've loved it since I was in highschool.... forever ago lol. I've tried high end foundations and affordable foundations and after trying this little tube of BB cream, I'll stick with it. It covers well, not full coverage obviously as it's a BB cream, but the coverage is effective. It's not thick and cakey at all. It looks pretty on the skin and the match was pretty spot on. I didn't notice any dryness after wearing it for 8 hours WITH matte powder and setting spray. I am extremely impressed!

I had been using a more high end brand of tinted BB cream and I just got tired of paying the money for it. I tried this out and I LOVE it. Now, I'm very much a "no make-up make-up" girl and I don't like feel of full coverage foundations on my face where I'm extremely acne prone. This BB cream is so lightweight, I don't know I'm wearing it, but it smooths out my skin's texture and evens pigment (no red spots). I apply with my fingertips - I tried with a beauty blender and brushes and the sponges just absorb so much product and brushes will leave streaks, so fingers are the best in my opinion for this product. I use concealer on problem spots when I need to and this just blends right into my skin. I let it dry down a bit because it goes matte, but not in a cakey way - its very smooth. And then I can put blush on top like normal and have no issues - I don't even have to use a setting powder on top of this. I've bought this maybe 6 times and the light/fair color is perfect for me, but I can see that if you don't get lucky with the shade, it may not work for you. You also need a light hand with this - if you put too much on it doesn't blend right and will dry up and leave streaks on your face. Bottom line, don't use much, use your fingers and let it dry down before adding anything on top and it looks gorgeous. The worst thing I can say about this product is that it does oxidize over time so when you get down to the bottom of the tube, the color is not the same as when you started - it goes a bit darker over time. But I use mine so often that I normally run out before I see that happen too much.
