Kept the Heat On
I ordered the PowerBlanket for my 20 lb propane tank connected to my heater for my tiny house just in time! It arrived right before a week of single digit and below zero weather. Previously I had experienced issues with inefficiency of propane being delivered to the heater inside the house in similar weather the winter before. The heat would shut off when there was still plenty of propane in the tank because the gas pressure was affected by the low temps. Not this year! I installed the PowerBlanket very easily right out of the box, and I got much longer tank life and zero problems like the year before.I hesitated to buy the PowerBlanket due to its price, but it was an investment that should last for many winters and brought me peace of mind that far exceeded its price tag. The thought of being without heat for a long duration of frigid weather will no longer cause me anxiety. I’m so glad I purchased the PowerBlanket and highly recommend it.

Works amazing
Works amazing. Simply wraps around LP cylinder and plug it in when you want to warm the cylinder. Makes grilling in bitter cold much easier plus you can effectively use every bit of gas in the cylinder during cold weather.

Well built.
Overwinter in an RV with satellite propane tanks. This unit only pulls an Amp so it’s not a strain on our already taxed power supply. The blanket has a nice clip and belt for tightening. Easy to setup and automatic operation. Couldn’t be happier.

Cheap product for big bucks.
This item worked well for about 1 year... then it doesn't. We don't know why, maybe an electrical cord malfunction? For the money we paid for it it is definately not worth the money.. ($145.00 with shipping). It seems there wont be any recourse as it's likely past it's warranty status. Very disappointed. Will not buy another one and we recommend you don't either.

Excellent for Grilling!
I purchased this item to use with my infrared gill I recently bought from Woot. As I’ve always grilled year-round I knew that the new gill would probably not work when it got below 40F. The LP would not vaporized fast enough to keep the grill going. My first usage of the blanket was at an air temp of 32F, with all three burners going at full blast I had plenty of fuel. With and IR temperature probe I measured a temp of around 65F on the top of the tank just above the blanket. The real test came about a week ago when the outside air temp had been below zero for a day or so. When I went out to get the grill setup and to plug in the blanket the air temp was 3F. Fifteen to twenty minutes later I checked the tank temperature and was getting a reading of around 34F. Fired up the grill and let it heat up for 10-15 minutes before putting on the meat, at that point the tank was reading in the low to mid 40s F.Needless to say I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to gill in the winter. One thing of note the product photos show and somewhere in one of the comments the power cord was stated as being only two foot long. The unit I received has a 15 foot power cord, which is a good length. Much better then what I was expecting.

works
I use this blanket on my propane fuel tank to run an emergency generator. It is -43 degrees below zero here in Fairbanks Alaska and the tank is toasty. I tested the Generator and it started (though reluctantly). Propane does not like these extreme temps). I added the automatic temp controller and the system seems to work well together. .

Does the job. Helps maintain good tank pressure, even in 10 degree weather
Excellent product IMO. We use this in an RV to heat a 20 pound cylinder. Tank pressure (per one of those cheap gauges that you screw into the tank outlet) would register into the "yellow" area, indicating tank pressure was low. After adding this blanket, pressure would bounce back into the "green" zone, just like a full tank on a hot day. I know. Those gauges don't get a lot of respect, but it's what I have, so I'm passing along the information. On a cold night without the blanket and a partially empty tank, it's likely that our RV furnace would have been starved for fuel after running for awhile, so it would probably have shut off before the RV got warm even though there was propane in the tank. This blanket keeps the liquid warm enough to continue producing good pressure down to the end of the tank. I've used it now through several months of the coldest parts of the winter, and have not had any issues with the blanket or with keeping the tank warm. Very happy.

Doesn't heat up as fast as you would think.
I bought this to keep a bucket of warm water for my tile saw when cutting outside in winter. Just filling a bucket with water and putting on the blanket is not enough because it takes too long to heat up and, if it is really cold outside, it doesn't really heat up at all. Also the single strap is oriented near the "top" of the blanket. This doesn't work really well as most buckets are tapered toward the bottom, so having the strap more towards the top leaves space between the bucket and blanket as you go toward the bottom...dumb. So I installed it upside down so it have better contact with the bucket and it seemed to work better, but still takes very long to heat up in cold weather. I then wrapped a cargo strap around it and it improved. Once heated it will maintain pretty good temp. So if you need hot water right away, forget it. I just get hot water from the house and use the blanket to keep it warm. Also, it really needs two straps not just one and the cord is very very short. Worked great for what I needed ONCE I MADE MY OWN CORRECTIONS, but expected a much better product for the price and from a brand that is a leader in heating blankets. There are other similar products that accomplish the same and are cheaper. This same exact product is cheaper under a different name, WarmGuard. I will look elsewhere next time.
