Surface Hair - Bassu Gold Hydrating Oil, Protect While Brightening Color And Adding Shine, 2 Fl. Oz.

Love Surface everything. I had weight loss surgery and lost a lot if hair, from lack of protein. Tried Awaken Surface and it totally helped. First time I tried the hydrating oil and well worth the price. I gave tried other types of oil, which left my hair very oily and greasy I straighten my hair, so I use this after I straighten it and then run the straightener through it one more time. Leaves a very nice shine with no residue.

Had to leave one star to leave a review, but I definitely do not recommend this product. What I received smells like rancid oil and just makes my hair feel dirty instead of moisturized.Buyer Beware

I first used this product when I was given a gift certificate for a spa in New York. I went there to get my hair cut and this is the product they used on my hair. I had never heard of it before, but was really surprised at how well it worked on my type of hair and how it had gotten rid of my frizziness and made my hair shine. Ive used lots of anti-frizz products such as moroccan oil, but those products have always made my hair greasy and just weigh my hair down. I have long, thin, wavy hair, but not the kind with a nice wave to it. It's really frizzy if I don't put any product in it after I wash it. This product works well for me and is really good for my type of hair. I love it. It is very hard to find though, so I always stock up on it here at amazon. I've never been able to find it at any hair salon here in New York other than the spa I had visited that day. If I happen to be out of this though, the next best product is the eufora pure polish finishing drops. That is a really great product too :)

Not so great for the price. Gonna stick with other, Silk Therapy! Works much better and a much better value!

I love this stuff and I use it in tandem with Surface Trinity Protein Cream. I use the oil on dry hair (the outer layer and ends of my hair) after blow drying and before flat ironing. I sometimes add a little after flat ironing as well. It smells amazing and keeps my hair completely smooth. My ends may be dry, but they never look it with this gorgeous oil!

I never write reviews, but have to share. I have used surface Bassu ( clear) hydrating oil for many years. I love the product. I thought I'd try the "Gold" oil for a change. It is nothing like the clear oil. It smells like old rancid vegetable oil that I would have to throw out. This rancid smell right next to my nose for hours is nauseating--tried twice to see if I could tolerate the smell, and ugh ...no. Also, feels greasy. Not quite sure if it is 'just" vegetable oil or not, dyed orange? It's gross. Can't return...super disappointing. $30 in the trash. :(

I like this product. It makes my hair shiny and does seem to prevent split ends.

I have very course thick hair. I put in just a few drops in my hand, rub them together to warm the oil and distribute through my hair each time before I flat iron. This product protects the hair from the heat and leaves it very soft. It is not a heavy product. I highly recommend this product. It is expensive, but alittle bit goes a long way.
