Huge cranking improvement
Bought one approximately 2 years ago, made a night and day difference how the old 6.5 started. However, shortly after a few years , started grinding and chewing up the flex plate. Couldn’t help but give it a second try! Starts amazing again.

Way better design than the OE starter. Spend the extra $, it is worth it!
Works great so far. It really cranks the engine over. My only complain is that for the GM 6.5 starter (not sure about others) there is a stud on the top side of the unit, that says it should go to ground. I made a wire and went to ground with it and when I tried to hook the positive terminal to the battery, I had sparks everywhere!! This was not a ground as marked. I took the wire off and threw it away and the starter works great. Now I need to make a cover for the bare, hot terminal on the starter. I'm not sure why this was labeled incorrectly and even why it is there. That is the reason for the 4 star rating.

Amazing upgrade!
Easy to install the wiring connections are easier to reach and clean than stock. My truck has never started so easily.

Just Wow
I can not believe the power this starter has with my old 6.2l gm diesel. With a cold start, it will start the old beast over half the time it would take with the OEM starter. I am very impressed with it. I did have to get a longer cable for the battery and extend the ignition wire a bit. All in all, excellent upgrade to the beast.

Killer Starter! Way better than stock!
Best starter ever. Orileys has horrible service and starters. Rolled the dice on this thing based on a review. So glad I did! No shims needed. Bolt it up and let it work.

Better than OEM
Perfect replacement in an H1. Plug and play install at half the cost and weight than OEM. Shipping was same day delivery. There mustve been an Amazon fulfillment center nearby. Very satisfied with purchase

Twice as fast as stock.
Spins up the 6.5 in my Hummer H1 twice as fast as the stocker.Hummer owners will have to buy the GM bolts as the Hummer ones are too long.
