Most of us have our own bolognaise sauce recipe and I doubt many of them are close to authentic. Who cares? For me, some chopped onion, minced beef, oregano, garlic, tin of chopped tomatoes washed out with red wine, tomato purée, more red wine and, horror of horrors, chopped fresh mushrooms, is my family favourite along with some stock which used to be in the shape of a spoonful of Bovril but now requires one to one and a half of these little beauties. The flavour these add is amazing. Great in risotto too.

It’s difficult to find mushroom stock cubes except in whole/health food shops that are expensive. These are good stock cubes at a reasonable price.

Die Pilzgewürz-Würfel sind großartig. Sie geben den Champignon Gerichten einen wunderbaren Pilzgeschmack. Warum werden die nicht in deutschen Supermärkten verkauft?
