The size & design are perfect. Functional for either a teapot or a coffee mug. A large opening on one side keeps the candle flames from being smothered. There is a little iron rack that comes with it that I don't use. The bottom of the warmer is wide enough to accommodate up to 4 of the little tealight candles. It takes 3 or 4 to keep my mug of tea hot. 4 stars instead of 5 because mine came with a defect on top, but is still functional.
