This is the third PK80xx series Replacement Stem for c1993 Arrowhead faucets I have ordered. What the manufacturer and seller do not disclose is that the rectangular shaped brass end that holds the flat washer requires some filing down (at least for older product) in order to fit into the hydrant housing.This is not a "deal breaker" as it is much easier to file the end so that it fits than to cut into a wall to replace the entire faucet.Filing the ends: Recommend filing and rounding off the sharp rectangular brass edges only a little (aprox 0.005") at a time. Take the same amount off each end to ensure that the attached washer remains centered on the rectangular end. Also, use an inexpensive caliper to measure how much brass is filed off, and to make sure the cross-dimensions remain equal.Other notes:Stem seal on the old product and new replacement are different. The old stem seals utilized a packing gland, while the replacement uses a sliding O-ring mounted to a piston that moves in & out of a cylinder--This may be a good improvement--Time will tell.Also, on one replacement stem, I could not screw the existing faucet handle/knob completely tight. A washer under the head of the screw took care of the problem. I did not chase the stem internal threads with a tapping tool to see if it had been fully tapped. Fully disclosure, I reused the faucet handles & screws that were on the old hydrants rather than installing new handles & screws as the instructions directed. If the handles and screws really need to be replaced, they should be part of the stem kit.One more thing, I would recommend using a food-grade silicon grease to lubricate the faucet washer and O-ring & cylinder prior to final installation.

Works great and stopped the leak. Be sure to watch the size. This picture is of the stem I pulled originally, and the replacement was the same size. It's not quite 16 inches in total length like the description says.There are some nuances, but nothing that can't be fixed:1) Like other reviewers have said, the back metal square thing is too big. I just carefully used a hand file until it fit.2) the part where the handle connects isn't tapped for the screw. I guess the replacement screw that comes with the Arrowhead handle is a self tapping screw. It's pretty hard to tap something so small. That took a while to cut the threads but it also works fine now.3) It required a decent amount of force to turn it off the first time. Be sure to use a little silicone paste on the rubber washer but some people may need the valve seat to be fixed or replaced. If the valve seat is too far gone, the only option you have it to just replace the whole thing.

May not be a direct fit for older faucets. I needed one between the available lengths and had to shorten the shaft with a pipe cutter. Also needed to take the corners off of the washer mount. Looks like a quality build and can be shortened with some effort. Otherwise, a great repair option.

This was a perfect fit for my 20 year old faucet. Saved me from having to have a plumber replace the whole thing.

It fixed my leaky Arrow faucet. I had to trim the small square rubber disk to fit my older faucet. It took a couple or tries at trimming to get it right. Didn't want to take too much off.

There are great You Tube videos on how to do this..........most important is what size to order and the videos do a good job explaining,,,,,,,,,,think about it and you won't be confused. Follow the directions in the videos and especially the directions that come with it and you should be good to go.
