Give it a go, at the price you can't go wrong.
I bought this product for my wife, she loves it. She uses it at home and work for extra support. She says it stays in place, and is comfortable. She tried it in the car seat but she didn't like that. It's very subject subjective on what you're using it for. But overall as I said she loves it. And besides, for the price you can't go wrong. Can recommend.

The material and cushioning is good but the straps are so long you can’t get it properly tightened and therefore not positioned correctly.

Comfortable cushion
I’ve used this back support in the car, as a passenger only as my car has a back support on the driver’s seat. I’ve put it in the position that suits me and it seems to work. I haven’t strapped it to the seat yet so don’t know if it holds. I use it on the sofa when I’m watching tv as well. My back is ok at the moment so not sure if it’s the support or just the cyclical nature of my pain. Seems like a good tool for my armoury and if it helps then it’s worth the money.
