Iberia Jack Mackerel in Tomato Sauce, 15 Ounce (Pack of 4)

I have been trying to add more fish to my diet. I love sardines but one can is usually not enough. I tried these. They taste great. One can of these is plenty.

It looks quite appetizing. I found another use for it by deciding to use it to mix in with dry/wet cat food; mainly as a sometimes treat. One can usually last for about a week when feeding about 6 feral cats. The indoor cat likes it, too. One can would last her for about 2 weeks when supplementing her dry food. Very cost effective when compared to wet cat food. Sometimes it can be found in the dollar stores.

The overall taste is pretty decent, doctor it up as you normally would when cooking as the sauce is a little on the basic side. The only real complaint I have is the fish in the 5 or so cans I've opened were kinda dry, like all the fat cooked out somehow but the taste is still great when cooked.

Had to through away this item - noticed the can had a disclaimer “not for sale in California” found out this basically means the product is known to contain carcinogens that could possibly lead to cancel which is why its not allowed to be sold California because they have laws against that stuff. This should be a law everywhere

I love this. And my Pomeranian begs for it. Makes a great break from tuna salad. I mix with a little mayo, tiny bits of chopped celery, chopped dill pickles, (the kind from the cold case in stores,) a little cracked pepper and salt, and top toasted bagels. You can also use tiny chopped onions too, and a bit of lettuce to keep it from falling through the center hole of the bagel. Yummmmy! This is on my Amazon favorites list.

The thing I like the most is the current low cost, only $.19 per ounce.This mackerel is low in carbohydrates and keto friendly.I made a delicious roll up by putting the mackerel on a low carb tortilla. I then placed a generous portion of arugula on top. Between the tomato sauce and the mackerel juice, the fish is moist, so didn’t need to add anything else.Easy and fast to prepare, yummy and super healthy.

Can’t recommend this one. I ordered two, both were very banged up. One can almost seemed spoiled and the sauce was gray.

I was so happy to dig into this fine treat after my home went up. Wonderful flavor, both the sauce and the jack mackerel. A generous portion for a modest price. Highly recommended!
