It works perfect
My work computer has one of those integrated Bluetooth things that work terrible. My mouse would lag and wouldn't connect more than 2 devices at the timeThis things handles my mouse, keyboard, headphones and phone without any problem and the range is also pretty decent. About 10 meters as expected for Bluetooth

Work great but no range.
I had all manor of problems with the cheaper Realtek based adapters, especial with Telegram but at least they had a long range. This Ugreen was the opposite. Zero issues but next to no range. Stepping out of the room caused drops.

Great for Dolphin and Betterjoy
I tried this on my PC for my joycons to connect with dolphin and I was sorely dissapointed but let me finish I didn't give up and I read the back of the box and it said connectivity up to 300+ft when unobstructed. So I decided to give it one last shot but this time I put it up 4 ft above the ground. worked like a charm solid connection for over 20 min and then I turned it off can't say enough about this great product. I do reccomend it!

Do Not bothere getting this device if you need anything higher than Bluetooth 2.0 speeds
This device is essentially a scam, It does not perform at the Bluetooth 5.3 level or anywhere near it because Actions Semiconductor, the company Ugreen so stupidly used to make this product does have a driver on Windows so windows wens up using a generic driver from 2006 which doesn't even support basic Bluetooth quality, several forums have reached out to Actions and Ugreen about their lack of software support and were essentially ghosted I am at the point where im about to be petty and issue a charge back on my credit card because by the time I figured it out and wanted to use the microphone on my headset It was too late. DO NOT BUY GARBAGE, I have never had to write a review like this and I have purchased and been satisfied with several Ugreen products.

plug and play worked great for my skullcandy headphones.
worked perfect for my skullcandy headphones. only issue i had was when playing a game i suddenly lost all audio from the game if i was using discord... but turned out i just needed to change the input/output settings in discord and now it works great. no longer having to be tied to an aux cord is amazing and the signal never cuts out. always pairs to my headphones with 0 issues so far after using it for about a month now.

Terrible consistency less than a foot away for input. Good audio though.
I got this dongle to replace a trusty 4.2 dongle, to get both lower latency and better range ideally.I use my bluetooth primarily for audio and game controllers like the Sony DualSense or XBox Controller. For audio? Worked great, went through a full charge on my bluetooth headset without a single hiccup, whatever is going on with this thing must be buffered enough to not bother audio. But on the flipside, I could not get my controller to work consistently and properly - it would barely even connect to the dongle, I had to re-pair it every time I turned it on, or it would connect for a split moment and turn off. And when the controller is connected, things seem almost fine every here and there, but in between the heres and theres, it would just stop and keep sending whatever input ai was doing in that moment for a few seconds before snapping back. Seemed to happen in smaller increments every... ten, maybe fifteen seconds? And somewhere around every thirty seconds to a minute it would do a bigger hang that lasted for three or four seconds.I did just get the DualSense controller as well, on the same day, so at first, I was blaming it on the controller, since this is my first Sony controller newer than a Dualshock 3. But then, I started A/B testing with my old TP-Link BT 4.2 stub dongle that this was intended to replace, and it had NONE of the issues; no matter how much I loaded the old stub dongle with all the active inputs I could manage, they all registered as they were pressed, with no freezes or hitches.Again, to reiterate: Audio, so far, has worked fine. Input devices, though, are a bust as it stands. I'm not going to return it, not worth my time for the amount of money put into it, if I get really good range out of it it might still be used for when I want to wander my house and/or yard while listening to content from my desktop. But it's sadly nowhere near as good as I had hoped it would be, almost needed really, for my use case. I'll probably buy a TP-Link 5.0 stub adapter, same as what I got but newer internals. If anything changes, say, I find some hidden setting that makes it work way better or something, I'll try to remember to update this review.[1/7/24] After the initial review, I was contacted by a UGreen sales rep in response to this review. They refunded me, no further questions asked beyond the contents of my review.I've also made some further discoveries regarding possibly why the dongle behaves the way it does, using an app called "DSX" for my DualSense controller, that happens to have a section rhat reports the polling rate of the controller; DSX claims my controller starts out at 70Hz and drops to 33Hz on the UGreen dongle, where when I sync and connect either of my TP-Link dongles, a UB400 and now also a UB500, both of those report a roughly 700Hz connection with no drop. I would think that 33Hz polling rate would merely increase response latency, so I doubt it's the root cause of the input stutter and hitching, but it's still something to take note of. If you want a good Bluetooth 5.x dongle, it seems the TP-Link UB500 stub dongle is hard to beat, and as I said, my older UB400 is still going strong as well, I just wanted BT 5.x for some of the improved latency characteristics compared to 4.x.
