Great little heater for a dog house or chickens coop
Wish I had bought this heater first for my chicken coop! This is a far superior heater! Plus it can be hooked up to a temp controlled plug in that will turn the heater on at low temperatures and back off at higher temperatures. Heater will still turn back on when the power been shut off for whatever reason and remember it’s settings too!Just be warned not all heaters out there will turn themselves back on if the power goes out! I learned that the hard way with the first heater I bought that I have to turn back on manually when the power goes out! That was a huge disappointment and why I ended up buying this heater! Another plus is it has more power and throws out much more heat too! It’s not like a heater you use in your home, but that be too much heat that could cause fire issues! This one is warmer heat that you would not want to touch the face of the heater. Unlike the first one I bought that I can touch the face with the heater on too! It’s barely gets warm! So you really want to look closely at the heaters you’re considering buying! This one the best I have seen and used so far! Can’t complain about it a Ass t all!Update 12/25/23 Christmas! This heater is still working flawlessly, it’s installed in a 12’X12’ coop, so it doesn’t keep the coop itself very warm but chickens don’t need to be kept very warm! The heater is only to keep their water from freezing during the colder temps below freezing. I keep their water bowl near the heater and it does keep water from freezing so far! I’m going to buy another one of these heaters to put in my large dog house for my dog! Heater been super dependable! and does put out enough heat that you can feel it with your hand. But if you’re looking for a heater to heat a large room to 70 degrees. This heater not what you want! For tiny areas this is a great little heater!

They should provide items for a better installation
This unit is somewhat heavy and would typically mount into the gable end of a plastic doghouse roof section. This requires bolts, nuts, washers and lock washers for a proper installation, which they do not provide. The heater unit itseld seems to be of very good quality and well manufactured.A hole must be drilled for the cable and because of the plug and control module it must be drilled bigger than the cable. They should provide the size of the hole needed and a rubber grommet that fits around the whole cable and seals the oversize hole. Or install it on the cable in the factory. Or make the motor/heater connection end detachable. A workaround is to make a hole in the joint beteeen the roof and the base just big enough for the cable, lay the cable in it with the plug and control module on the outside, and put the units together. This would not work with the igloo style houses. The only way to evaluate the unit is to place a recording temperature unit inside so you can see the high and low temps over a 24 hour period. We placed it n a small doghouse for two small dogs, and right now the nights are low 30's. We set it on the low setting and turn it on in the evening. You can hear the blower when you power it on. The dogs are inside the doghouse in the morning and seem to like it. This has been going on for three weeks, so we would say problem solved.

Was Impressed! (Updated)
The media could not be loaded. Below was my original review, I loved the heater but unfortunately it seems within a couple months of use the heating element has already failed..This heater is exactly what I needed. It works great coupled with an Inkbird temperature controller, I would highly suggest using this with a temperature controller to maintain consistent temperature without excessive heating.

Updated from original post
UPDATE: The support team has reached out to me about the issue I was having with this heater, very very nice people. They have solved all the issues I was having, for that I will give them 5 stars!! Great customer support team!!Have had this for a couple months. Supposed to have 2 speeds and it did at first but now only works on one speed. Also has started making a noise. Bought for chicken coop to help from getting so cold when it's in the teens. Guess I will be looking for something better.
