Very sturdy and grinds exceptionally

Pros: Study (well built and heavy); large capacity; suction feet keeps it stable on the counter while you grind; grinds peppers down to a fine powder for paprika, easy to use with just 3 selections--pulse, slow (course grind) and fast (fine grind).Cons: None so far

Some strong features

Let's begin with the best features: It has a 350 watt motor, more powerful than most coffee and spice grinders in this price range. According to instructions, you can run it for up to 60 seconds at a time, compared to 30 seconds for most others. It can handle both wet and dry ingredients. It has two speeds as well as a high speed pulse function. The slower speed might be more appropriate for wet ingredients, while the higher speed is definitely better for seeds. The lid on the grinding cup seals well, keeping all the dust and powder in the cup. It has a large 5 ounce stainless steel grinding cup which is removable for washing. There is very little exposed plastic in the cup. The machine comes with a small plastic brush / measuring scoop. It is reasonably quiet for a grinder. Now to look at some of the flaws: While the cup is removable for washing, it is not supposed to be immersed in water, to protect the bearings on the bottom of the cup. Only the lid and the plastic cover are dishwasher safe, unlike many other machines. When washing it, I was not able to clean completely the underside of the blades despite using both a dishwashing brush and a sprayer. When I turned it on again, it thew out some clumps. Of course, that is likely not a problem limited to this machine alone. The lid seals well, but debris may get under the gasket around the edge, requiring special attention to clean. In appearance, the machine is very basic and utilitarian, one might even say homely or retro. The almond paint is reminiscent of 1970's office furniture. It has multiple safety locks, which serve a purpose but add to the time it takes to start grinding. Oddly, the cup locks onto the base by aligning it and then turning it clockwise, while the plastic cover locks on by turning it counterclockwise. This is unnecessarily confusing. There is no cord storage under the machine. But the biggest problem is that it has no manufacturer's warranty and no warranty displayed on the seller's page. So buy it at your own risk and return it within Amazon's return window if you decide not to keep it.In terms of its grinding capability, It ground chia seeds to a consistent fine grind, better than the old Chefman grinder which it replaced (and which I would have bought again if it were still made). Despite the powerful motor, when I tried to grind a couple of tablespoons of raisins with some nuts, the machine smelled hot after a few seconds, and I was not able to grind the contents to a paste. Even pulsing the chia seeds, for less than 60 seconds, it smelled hot briefly. I have not yet tried making guacamole, baby food, salad dressing or anything of that nature. At this point, it has been for sale on Amazon for less than five months. One has the feeling that it is one of the first of a new generation of more powerful grinders, and maybe more refinements will come later. So far there aren't many reviews, which is why I have tried to be thorough with this revew. In short, it is not a $400 professional spice grinder. It has a more powerful motor than most inexpensive grinders, and it has some idiosyncracies. With proper care, one would hope that it will last a while, but if it doesn't, don't expect customer service to come to your rescue.

This is the BEST coffee grinder in the world

I've went through a lot of coffee grinders trying to find the right grind I kept buying Burr grinders and they kept burning out or just stopped working all together so I decided to go with traditional coffee grinders I did not like the fact that with a lot of them they don't have a removable upper chamber this thing does and every grind comes out perfect . I am extremely happy with this grinder it's not very loud and grinds just as good as any burr grinder probably will buy another one for my mom as a gift The best coffee grinder I found out there.

Does the Job!

Exactly what I was looking for, color, removable cup to make it easier to clean, as well as a top to store any extra coffee that I didn't use. Only complaint a bit loud but overall happy.

Great spice grinder!

Great for making oat flour and grinding spices. There is a seal around the inner container lid which cuts down on messes. I like that design of the grinder; it is the best one I have owned. However, I don't think I would use it as a coffee grinder. I think burr grinders are better for coffee.

Better than my any bigger blender /mixer

This is very useful for my kitchen esp if you grind spices all the time.Even my bigger kitchen appliances doesn't do its jobs well like this small grinder.Even small but it has bigger features and very sharp blades!
