Crispy Onions, 24 Ounce Resealable Bag

I first got these at Costco and thought they were wonderful but was disappointed to find that they only carry them for the holidays. I was grateful that Amazon had them. The recipe on the back for green bean casserole was a lot better than going the mushroom soup route. I used shitake mushrooms and that was also a real flavor boost.

These are tasty but the delivery was later than promised.

The best crispy onions to use on salads, burgers and casseroles or just by themselves!

Salads

The iconic French's Crispy Fried Onions, while the cheapest, are also the worst - mostly salt and grease flavor. Somewhat better, Walmart's Great Value French Fried Onions taste more of crispy flour than of onions. Fresh Gourmet Crispy Onions are best (only tied to Trader Joe's when you buy them at Trader Joe's as they're twice the price anywhere else, like here). I mostly use them on top of beef stroganoff (a common lunchtime meal as I make the sauce by the half gallon, then jar and freeze). Not available at local grocery.

I had been purchasing this brand in the small packages, but I use them on almost everything. I went to my local store and they had the French's brand in the larger bags. I purchased one and was very disappointed. I ended up getting rid of the bag.I came to Amazon and saw these. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but the Gourmet brand is better than French's. The texture and taste for me is better. I will definitely repurchase! I mix the garlic/pepper with the original. Absolutely delicious!

This is just the thing to add to a salad to make it way better for crunch and taste! Watch how much of these fried onions you add to the salad as the serving size is small.

A must have for a family that likes salads. Better value than buying them at the grocery store.
