Yamazaki Home Soap Tray-Silicone Holder Dish for Sink, One Size, Black - 7398

I bought this for a sponge so it could drain and not get smelly, mouldy or leave a puddle on the worktop. Had tried ‘in-sink’ drainers that sucker on the wall of the sink or hang off the tap- all were annoying- got in the way, had places you couldn’t clean so mould and undoubtedly bacteria would develope.This product is perfect- small so can put away when guest come and you want your kitchen to look spotless. Easy to clean as well. It does show signs of yellow scum if you don’t wash it regularly but that’s more down to user then the product. It comes up as new though with a bit of dish soap as being silicon, is mailable so easy to get to the nooks to clean. Very happy. Ahh the small things….😃

Assumed it would be a solid piece of silicone - it's flexible but feels a bit plasticy. Soap slides off easily when wet. Base isn't grippy either.

Ho acquistato anche l'altra versione, quella con tutte le setole di gomma sottili che reggono la saponetta dal basso e fra le due devo dire che l'altra versione fa il suo dovere, questo invece è il classico portasapone in cui la parte di appoggio non asciuga mai e lascia le orme umide sulla saponetta. Volevo renderlo ma mi avrebbero rimborsato di meno di quel che l'ho pagato. Peraltro una foto del sito è quella di un altro prod8 che non c'entra niente perché é quella dello scolapiatti con molte più scanalature. Lo tengo quindi per bellezza nel suo imballo originale, da regalare o tenere in una casa di campagna.

Great design for a soap dish. It’s sloped for drainage. Silicone material makes it easy to clean. You’ll still have to clean the soap scum every couple of days. But the soap is saved. Doesn’t turn into a gross lump of goo.I like the simple clean-looking design. It’s got a minimalist Muji style design, which I love. I think the price could come down a little. But given what’s available at the mall and store like Canadian Tire, I still prefer this. Makes a nice gift. The packaging is attractive. Doesn’t look cheap like some stuff you get from Amazon.

I didn't even realize it's supposed to suction until I went to write this review and it asked about suction power.So I'd say it falls quite short of the mark in this area. It also picks up a lot of soap residue which makes the soap slippery. Combined with the slippery base this is tedious to use.Looks cool though! 2 stars for that.
